(close to Dabangg2 which did around 20-21 crores)..

This means the movie has opened beyond expectations.. yes we all predicted a bumper opening for the film but this is something great. Considering the fact the YJHD is released in 3000 plus a screen next to Ek Tha Tiger (3,500) screens and it’s a non holiday release. . Ranbir previous biggie was Rajneeti (11 crore opening) but it was a multi starrer.

Trade pundits where predicting a figure of around 12 - 15 crores but the collections have surpassed the expectations of even hardcore’s..

The movie was expected to flood the multiplexes with its audience and it did obliged.. as a pleasant surprise the single screens also showed the interest for lapping up the film as the evening and night shows show a surge in the crowd.

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani opened to 90% occupancy for the morning shows in multiplexes and around 60% in single screens.

With the word of mouth being very positive and favorable reviews the movie is all set to enter the 100 crore club.. YJHD is happily posing at 19.5 crore today with the weekend in her arms the movie is bound to register an expected 25 crores on Saturday and Sunday each making the movie starring at a 60 crore massive weekend..
