The next gen superstar Ranbir kapoor who bagged all the awards in 2012 with ‘Barfi’ is all set to showcase his wild side in his upcoming next release ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ where he is playing a role of a adventures video photographer. IndiaGlitz caught this youngistan star for random questions..

It is really great because we don’t give credit to music directors as much other thing. For any romantic film the music creates a buzz and the aura. I think Pritam has done great job as a composer. His songs are so melodious. I feel happy that I worked with 3 films Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani, Barfi and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. After every film I message him thank you for brilliant films music.

"Batameez Dil" song lyrics are quite tough for lip sync. How you managed to do it?

It is very difficult but I remember when I was doing Anjaana Anjaani and the promos were out. I was sitting with papa in living room. And suddenly my song came and my dad was lost then out of sudden he screamed "Ranbir sing aloud". Then I realise that if I just lip sync with expression it will not work. When I was doing Rockstar I learnt. For this movie it was difficult but Ayaan is a very good friend of mine and he has given the CD already.

When your heart becomes Batameez?

When you have a beautiful co-stars... Whenever I am on the film sets. I love being there. It is important to create a fun atmosphere at you work place. Not only acting in whichever profession you are you need to be passionate about it. But Batameezee have a limit.

What you want to say about the achievements of Deepika?

I always had expectation from Deepika but never imagined that she will become such a fine actress in such short time. She is the first actress in front of whom I got intimidated because she was doing something new not the way I wanted to do her. The constant surprise was very good feeling. Now I know her in and out. I know her advantages and disadvantage. She made her disadvantage her advantage. I am very proud of it and happy for her success.

I am here to be an actor. Today an actor becomes a star. Today Mr.Salman Khan, Mr. Shah Rukh Khan, Mr. Aamir Khan, Mr. Ajay Devgn, Mr. Sunny Deol they are gods; we hae grown up watching them. That time there was not that much media. Today we have media and it has put us in it. We are created stars. I am just 10 films old. I feel embarrassed when I am compared to them as they were working here since 25 years and I have just finished my 5 years. I hope I live up to the expectations.

As you are Kapoor you are expected to be star?

A doctor son is expected to be a doctor, and advocate son is expected to be an advocate but you cannot assure that a good doctor son will become a good doctor. If you want to become a good actor then it is your hard work, your intelligence, your life experience and your perception will make you a good actor. I feel happy when someone fan compliment and feel bad when some say bad things about me. It is better to focus at your work.

When you choose different path. People may recognise you. If you follow the same path in that path you have lot of huge star and then you will be lost.

Now you have huge fan following as Khans so how challenging it becomes for you?

There is a sense of responsibility. You can’t take your audience for granted. The more the loves they give then you have to reciprocal it with entertainment. More I can do is do good movies and be good at my work.

To create your own niche in the industry to took art movies?

Not at all. When I heard Barfi and Rockstar they were commercial film for me. Such film I would like to see as an audience. You should have you own point of view. If I say I want to do 3 Idiots and Dabangg then they will slap me and asked me to sit at home as they have Aamir and Salman. So you have to create your own niche.

How you balance your film between commercial and meaningful cinema? Is it a conscious decision?

To be honest I don’t know. These are the things just happening in my life. I think I am in a right place in a right time.

We understand that there is a lot of demand to know more about your favourite actors. But when the target is you then you react. But you have to focus in your work.

Do you keep a tab on other celebrity or colleague?

We all are in same profession and we talk about it but as I said when you are the targets then you react.

Is there any cold war between today’s gen actors?

I don’t think there is any cold war between any one of our colleagues. We all are busy actors and we catch up only in award functions or any party. There are very friendly competitive people. We get jealous but we appreciated each other’s work. We are too early in our career to have such competition. Early there was less space, now there is enough space to accommodate.

Will you opt for multi-starrer film in future?

I did Rajneeti. And even Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is also a multi-starrer. If any good story comes I will do it.

Shammi Kapoor was not a trained dancer neither I am. Technically I am not a good dancer. The greatness of Shammi Kapoor is he had so much fun in dancing and people believe even they can do it.

Do you have insecurities as an actor?

With age insecurity comes. I am not only competing with just my generation but also with Mr. Amithabh Bachchan and Darsheel Safari as well. But I have good insecurities. I am happy in my space.

Are you doing Zoya’s next film?

I have never being offered that movie it was just a rumour.

You have not acted in Dibaker Banerjee’s short film in Bombay talkies? Reason?

Dibakar asked me to do and I agreed to it but I asked him to shoot after few days due to other commitments but he needed to finish the shoot early so it didn’t happen. It’s my lose that I couldn’t do Dibakar film.
