After a fine opening at the box office that yielded around 35 crores in the first weekend, 'Khiladi 786' stayed on to be stable over Monday, hence justifying a good word of mouth that had started coming into play after it's release.
As confirmed by the makers, the film netted 5.4 crores on Monday, hence bringing the film over 40 crore mark. With the first week collections expected to be in the vicinity of 55 crores and second week wide open due to no new release, 'Khiladi 786' has assured itself the tag of a good success in the making.
"Add to that satellite rights (32 crores), overseas collections (approx. 5 crores), music rights (5 crores) as well as video/other rights (2 crores) and the film is all set to do an overall business that would exceed the 100 crore mark", confirms a source.
For producer/actor/composer/singer/story-writer Himesh Reshammiya, this is indeed music to his ears because 'Khiladi 786' is all set to be his fifth film that would do a business of over 100 crores worldwide after 'Bodyguard', 'Bol Bachchan', 'Oh My God' and 'Son of Sardaar', each of which collected over 100 crores in worldwide collections.
