The Festival of Lights is nearly and the glittering town of B-town is gradually getting ready for the D-day...
Come Diwali and its incomplete without sweets and family-friends get-together.
And Arjun Kapoor completely agrees on this. Going back to his childhood Diwali memories, the ÂIshqzaade famed star recalled, "My grandmother makes outstanding food at home during Diwali so that's a memory that always lingers in my mind.
Also as a kid I did burst crackers which I have stopped now, realising how much pollution it causes....
While itÂs all lights, sounds and sweets, Diwali is also known for cards-and-money affair. Referring this, Kapoor said, "Off late I did learn the value of teen paati and I tried playing it and I have realised that I am not very good at it. I tend to lose more than I win so I stay away from it...
"Of course eating sweets and doing the puja are other highlights of Diwali, earlier my grandfather used to sit and do the puja then I saw my father do it and last year I got to sit and do the Puja so it feels like time is progressing.
Some very interesting memories that come with Diwali I think most importantly is the whole family coming together for that one night and just being around each other, having random conversations, enjoying good food and looking forward to spending a positive year thereafter," stressed Arjun.
On asking him how he is going to celebrate the festival, Arjun replied, "This Diwali I plan on just taking a break and meeting my friends and family because all this while I have been working, so it will be a good time to catch up with everyone....
