19 year old Alia Bhatt is just going through the motions. With the film releasing tomorrow, she is now at the fag end of a whirlwind worldwide tour where she along with her other 'students of the year', Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan, travelled with Karan Johar.

While today everything definitely seems positive about the film and her appearance, there was a time two years ago when there were jealous whispers around her overnight turning into a leading lady for Karan Johar no less.

"The thing is, this is such a subjective topic that you can't defend yourself in every way after a point", sighs Alia who is getting a good hang of Bollywood scheme of things, now that she has enjoyed a first hand experience of making a film, "Yes, being from a film family does help since you get a good platform as well as recognition.

However, so many out there don't understand that at the end of the day, I am an individual performing in front of the camera and Bhatt lineage doesn't make any difference whatsoever. Of course such negativity and speculations used to upset me but guess that's part of the game."

Well, as long as the game is won this weekend, rest assured no one would mind the struggle undertaken during the journey.
