After creating much news about her Maharashtrian avatar, the first look of Rani Mukherji starrer ‘Aiyyaa’ is here...

The movie launches Malayalam star Prithviraj in the lead role opposite Rani. Presented by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, ‘Aiyyaa’ is directed by Sachin Kundalkar.

A fact not any news anymore, Rani plays a bubbly Maharashtrian girl Meenakshi who lives and breathes on filmy flavour.

While her family hunts for an eligible Marathi groom, Meenaskhi dreams of having a south man as her life partner. According to her, she will find a man desirable only when he smells good.

Enter Suriya, the perfect man of her filmy dreams... However, her parents in the meantime find a match. What happens next serves as the climax of this story...

Through one of its song, the film apparently takes inspiration from Vidya Balan’s "Ooh La La" song (The Dirty Picture), where Meenakshi and Suriya have a dreamy song sequence.

co-produced by Anurag Kashyap and Guneet Monga in association with Viacom 18, ‘Aiyyaa’ hits the screen on 12th October 2012.
