Is this film similar to 'The Dirty Picture'?

After making it to the Cannes earlier this year, Ashim Ahluwalia`s Miss Lovely is now being screened at Melbourne International Film Festival which is currently underway.
Set in the lower depths of Bombay's 'C' grade film industry, 'Miss Lovely' follows the story of two brothers (one of them being now-famous Nawazuddin Siddiqui) who produce sex horror movies in the mid-80s.
Though comparisons are bound to take place with 'The Dirty Picture' which was again set in the 80s and talked about the soft porn cinema that was made down South, leading lady of 'Miss Lovely', Niharika Singh, says that it would be unfair to do so.
"Our film was shot and completed even before 'The Dirty Picture' was initialised.
In fact we were ready in 2009 itself but since our film doesn't have any star or backing, we are taking the festival route to create awareness", says Niharika Singh, an ex-beauty queen, "Even from the core storyline perspective, it won't be wrong to say that we are similar to 'The Dirty Picture'.
That film was a biopic of Silk Smitha whereas our film is about brothers who make C grade films."
Well, we would like to see similarities, if at all, once the film finds a mainstream release soon.
