"No regrets with 'Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap'" - Sonu Sood

Sonu Sood is gearing up for his major film in recent times where he is playing a solo lead. For an actor who comes from a small town like Moga (Punjab) and has ended up working with Salman Khan (Dabangg), Hrithik Roshan (Jodhaa Akbar), Akshay Kumar (Singh Is Kinng) and Amitabh Bachchan (Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap), Sonu is indeed finding it as an overwhelming experience to be working with Naseeruddin Shah now in 'Maximum'.
Says Sonu, "I think God has been kind to me and I am on the right track. With such good actors around, you get an altogether different high as an actor. After all these are the men who can take some of the basic lines to an altogether different high with their sheer presence. I guess this way I have been quite fortunate to have been exposed to so much talent."
However doesn't he regret the fact that his last major film, 'Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap', didn't quite turn out to be the kind of huge platform he was hoping for. After all, the film ended up being an out and out Amitabh Bachchan saga and in the process it was Sonu who lost out on some deserving screen time.
"Today I wish I could have been seen a little more in the movie", says Sonu after a brief pause, "It was directed by Puri Jagannanth who is one of my favourite filmmakers and I have done movies with him down South as well. He is always just a phone call away. For him too this was his first experience in Bollywood. I guess we all are learning the tricks of the trade. Yes, I could have had more footage but then no regrets yaar. It is a great high for me to be a part of this industry despite being an outsider. This is just a beginning; there would be many other better outings in future for sure."
We hope so as well Sonu. Directed by Kabeer Kaushik, 'Maximum' releases all over on 29th June.
