Audience would have to wait for a little longer before they see Kareena Kapoor in 'Heroine'. Reason here is Akshay Kumar who has now delayed his 'Joker' by a couple of weeks and hence would be arriving on 14th September.

"Akshay, UTV and Shirish have decided to move ahead by a few days since they want to concentrate more on the VFX. 'Joker' is first of it's kinds in Bollywood and the makers don't want to compromise on making this 3D nothing short of a spectacle", informs our well placed source from the production house.

Since 'Heroine' as well as 'Joker' are UTV productions, it's the former which is being given preference for the ready slot.

"'Heroine' will now release a week later", the source continues.

Though plans are for 'Heroine' to now arrive on 21st September, it is yet to be seen if this indeed materialises since that would mean two consecutive films for UTV on back to back weeks. If 'Heroine' pushes to October, Kareena would have twin reasons to celebrate since she gets married to beau Saif Ali Khan in the same month.

Meanwhile Madhur Bhandarkar is not allowing the delay to result in any change in plans and is going ahead full steam with the shoot.
