Ooh la la…Finally its happening…. After several B-town A-listed heroines donned the item tag, Vida Balan, who recently upped the oomph factor with ‘The Dirty Picture’, is next going to step in as the item gal.

Buzz is going on that Vidya Balan has given her nod for doing a special number in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s forthcoming Sharman Joshi starrer ‘Ferrari Ki Sawari’. And grapevines have it that the item song will be much hotter and peppier than “Sheila”, “Chameli” or “Chammak Challo” for that matter…

Vidya, who is always game for challenge, was said to be initially apprehensive about doing the number. But then she and Chopra share good rapport since their ‘Parineeta’ days, Vidya couldn't refuse. Besides, after Vidya saw few rushes of ‘Ferrari Ki Sawari’, she was quite impressed with it and immediately wanted to be part of the film as well.

Being her first item song, Vidya is said to be working out on her body image. Also it is said that the dance number will be shot very lavishly, where one can look forward to a completely different Vidya.

According to sources, the song’s concept and choreographer are yet to be decided. The shooting is expected to start next month. For the time being, the team wants to take things slow; apparently they want Vidya to get involved in the work and so they are trying to make her comfortable in every way.
