For 'Race 2', even though Saif Ali Khan and Anil Kapoor are continuing from where they left in 'Race', Akshaye Khanna and Katrina Kaif have been done away with (since they had died in the film's climax) while Sameera Reddy's character has been quashed too. Since John Abraham is the latest entrant in the film's cast, there has been immense speculation ever since Bipasha Basu's name has been announced as a key cast member in the film.

"While rumours were abound that Bipasha may be sharing screen space with John, many wondered what exactly would she be doing in the sequel. However as it has turned out, Bipasha doesn't have a full fledged role in the film. She is merely doing a guest appearance and that too on the insistence of Abbas-Mustan since they share a great equation," confirms a well placed source.

"Yes, I am basically doing a guest appearance in 'Race 2'. Abbas-Mustan launched me a decade ago in 'Ajnabee' and I am doing the film just for them", says Bipasha who has also worked in their 'Race', 'Players' and (shelved) 'Mr. Fraud', "They wanted me to just come in for a few days of shoot and I can't refuse them."

Guess that should put all speculations to rest.
