Though Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor have come together for a few films in the past, their track record has been mixed. While 'Kambakkth Ishq' and 'Bewafaa' were moderate successes, 'Aitraaz' had done well. However neither 'Tashan' nor (Suneel Darshan directed) 'Talaash' worked while 'Dosti' didn't rake in much moolah either. However after a gap of close to three years, Kareena feels it is high time that she reunited with Akshay.

"For Kareena too this could well be an opportunity to get another biggie on her name. After conquering two Khans last year (Shah Rukh Khan in 'Ra. One' and Salman Khan in 'Bodyguard'), she would be romancing the other three in 'Talaaash' (Aamir Khan), 'Agent Vinod' (Saif Ali Khan) and Imran Khan (Imran Khan). The only other top actor with whom she hasn't shared screen space for a while is Akshay Kumar and though the two are yet to give a bona fide hit together, she indeed feels that law of averages would catch up with their pairing soon," says a source.

Well, audience is hoping that 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2' turns out to be the film that brings the duo together. After all, director Milan Luthria is now on a career high with his 'The Dirty Picture' officially being hailed as the fastest 'superhit' of the year.

Though Kareena continues to be non-committed to the aforementioned film, she admits that while she is not closed to the idea of acting in it, she is also missing working with Akshay.

"Akshay is like a family and I know him since the time I used to strut around in a school uniform when he was shooting with Karisma," she smiles, "We both have been quite busy but 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2' should be good movie to be a part of. Let's see how things progress there. Hopefully things will work out."
