Karan Johar sincerely believes that his forthcoming ‘Student of the year’ will silence his critics. He has been quoted saying, “I have faced criticism as a maker who can make films only with stars. This film is my humble effort to silence all those critics.”

Karan adds further by saying, “It is subject which has always interested me but I had to make the film I made to establish Dharma productions which could take the risk of making the films like the one I am making”.

As we all know ‘Student of the Year’ introduces new faces Varun Dhawan (son of David Dhawan), Aalia Bhatt (daughter of Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan) and Siddharth Malhotra.

‘Student of the Year’ will be the first film form Dharma productions to be shot in actual locations of different parts of India like Dehradhun, Mussorie’ etc. No foreign locales for this one…
