Bhansali ecstatic with Akshay making 'Rowdy Rathore' popular

'Rowdy Rathore' is making some loud noise for itself and one has to hand it over to the creatives team here. There was some good thought that went into designing the hand made posters of this Akshay Kumar film that have borne captions like 'Faulad Ki Aulad' and 'Ilaaka Tera Dhamaaka Mera'. While this has pretty much set the path for what the film would ultimately offer to audience, even Sanjay Leela Bhansali who co-produces the film, is ecstatic to see his name on the poster of a film which bears no similarity whatsoever to the set (serious) image that he otherwise carries.
"More than audience out there, I was myself dying to see my name on the poster of an action drama. How intriguing does it sound to actually see a film called 'Rowdy Rathore' that says 'Produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali'," quips Bhansali who has worked with Akshay Kumar for the first time ever.
What makes this sudden euphoria all the more special for Bhansali is the fact that this has been made possible with a mere poster being unveiled.
"For Bhansali, it is simply unbelievable to see the kind of response that 'Rowdy Rathore' has generated in such quick time despite the fact that the film is still under production," says a close associate who has been involved in the film's making, "Even though the film is directed by Prabhu Deva, as a producer Bhansali has been super charged about making a film that is miles away from the kind of cinema that he has been known for. He has been flooded with messages and congratulatory calls ever since the look of 'Rowdy Rathore' was revealed. He truly believes that his association with Akshay is paying off in a big way."
