Undeterred by all the protests that have threatened to spoil the party en route to its release, 'Aazaan' is going ahead with it's Friday release. Though till late Wednesday night there was a question mark over whether the film would indeed make it for 14th October release, courtesy quite a few detractors asking for a change in film's title, the makers have announced that they would stick to their stand and arrive as plans.

Says an official spokesperson of the production house JMJ Entertainment, "We are of firm belief that it would be totally detrimental to the basic spirit of the film if we even give these so-called protests any more importance. Some political parties out there wanted us to change the film's title from 'Aazaan' to something else since they felt that we were propagating terror through the film and also showing a minority community in poor light. We wish to state on record that both these accusations are entirely baseless and don't come with any reasoning whatsoever.

We did explain our point of view and how 'Aazaan', a holy word, is the name of out central protagonist who is a propagator of peace. We have also detailed the film's plot and offered to show them the film. At the core of it all, our film is an entertainer with its plot revolving around the theme of espionage. There is no talk of 'jihaad' or anything which is perceived as anti-Muslim. We would never do anything that hurts the sentiments of any community. On the contrary our director Prashant Chadha and lead actor Sachiin Joshi are hurt that their labour of love, which has taken over two years to realise, is seeing a set back of sorts with such false accusations that solve no one's purpose. More so when some of the prominent Muslim communities have cleared the film after seeing it while the Censor Board too has passed the film for theatrical release.

We are most definitely coming this Friday and prints have already been dispatched, both in India as well as Overseas. We hope this settles it all once for and all. It is now on audience to find the true meaning of 'Aazaan' and discuss/debate around it. We would be happy to hear the final verdict from them instead of bowing down to conditions set by any specific set of individuals."
