Rajiv Hari Om Bhatia popularly known as Akshay Kumar in Bollywood never knew that his screen name Akshay in his debut film 'Aaj' (1987) will be an inspiration for many youngsters who want to achieve against all odds provided they have a goal.

The 20 year old tall dark and handsome Akshay who debuted as a karate instructor in 'Aaj' is overwhelmed with the love and affection he has been receiving from years.

The journey of this B-town actor is almost like a fairy tale. He had absolutely no B-town connections to start with and with his sheer determination and hard work Akshay has made his mark and consolidated his position in whichever genre offered to him.

After cementing his place in the hearts of action buffs with the Khiladi series the B-town favourite then made further dent with romance dramas like 'Yeh Dillagi' (1994), 'Dhadkan' (2000) and 'Ek Rishtaa' (2001).

His association with Vipul Shah and Priyadarshan gave Bollywood some memorable moments like 'Waqt', 'Hera Pheri', 'Namsate London', 'Singh is Kinng', the Khiladi Kumar became the mass entertainer film by film.

Akshay name became a success stamp for producer's cause the actor was a fine package of action, emotions and laughter in one the hall mark of a superstar.

His comedies became the talk of the town and he became more and more bankable as year passed by.

At the age of 44, Akshay has lots in store. His forthcoming flicks hold great promise where the Akshay will be back in his action packed avatar in 'Once Upon a Time Again' - the sequel to 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai' plus 'Housefull' remake, 'Desi Boyz' and 'Joker' which is 3D.
