Her powerful performance in 'Devdas' left everyone spellbound and even in her last movie 'Action Replay', Kirron Kher easily won hearts with her comic act. And now the talented actress is all set with her solo movie - 'Mummy Punjabi' - which is releasing this week.

Directed by Pammi Somal, the movie has Kher playing a Punjabi funjabi mom, a fun-filled, spirited character who is out to sweep people off their feet with her outspoken personality. No wonder, the movie’s tagline has been aptly put as - "Superman ki bhi maa."

On why she chose the movie, Kher said, "Mummy Punjabi is a character I identify with completely." Referring to her director, the veteran went on, "Both of us are warm and genuine people. The script was fantastic and I loved the film."

Releasing shortly on 31st August, 'Mummy Punjabi' also stars Kanwaljeet Singh (as Kher's husband), Jackie Shroff, Divya Dutta along with Satish Kaushik and Gurdas Mann in special appearances.
