Not quite worrying about any preconceived notions that come with a quintessential Bollywood heroine - This is pretty much the 'mantra' that Deepika Padukone is following when it comes to 'Aarakshan'. When majority of other actresses have reservations about being a plain Jane for a film, especially when they are known for their glamorous image and are relatively new in the industry, Deepika is taking a different route.

"Deepika is young and doesn't intend to get typecast. It's just that the roles which came her way were so interesting that she didn't blink an eyelid while staying within the parameters of her character and following the director's vision. Even though she has just started off, she isn't creating fuss about her look in any particular film, be it 'Aarakshan' or otherwise as that's the last thing she discusses with her directors," says a senior member of Deepika's entourage.

On contacted, Deepika said, "While picking up a film, I have never bothered much about whether it would give me opportunity to play someone glamorous or whether it would be a serious outing for me. Something like this never plays in my mind. I go totally as per the demand of the script."

Okay, so we have heard this one before but looks like there is someone who is justifying the claims as well.
