Buzz is that stylish actor Abhay Deol will soon get engaged to his long-time sweetheart Preeti Desai, the former Miss Britain. According to sources, the two lovebirds had been in relationship for considerable time, despite having separate addresses.

The couple were to announce their engagement before but sadly as the Deol family were in a mourning stage, they postponed their plans. Explained sources, “There has been a death in the family (Dharmendra's elder sister passed away) and that's why they are not rushing their engagement. When the family overcomes the sorrow, Abhay and Preeti will exchange rings, maybe later this month or in June.” The ceremony will however be a small, private affair.

Abhay currently is making waves in Zoya Akhtar’s forthcoming film ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ while Preeti garnered limelight in her own way by debuting on screen with Balaji Motion Pictures’ ‘Shor In The City’. In a way, both have matching aspects when it comes to professional front, as they cater to multiplex audience.

On personal side, sources reveal that, Abhay and Preeti have great compatibility. “Both are impulsive, fun-loving people who love to travel and enjoy. They don't have a big circle of friends and they like it that way,” they added.
