According to grapevines, Karan Johar's Dharma Productions is all set to bring out the second venture of Wake Up Sid famed director Ayan Mukherjee. While it was natural that Ayan chose Ranbir for the lead, as they are good buddies, the initial choice of actress had been surprising. It is said that Deepika Padukone was chosen to play opposite to Ranbir. However (and as all know) after the two split, the plan was changed.
Now it is heard that Yash Raj Films find, Anushka Sharma is being considered for the film.
Rumours have it that London beauty Katrina Kaif was also in the talks before they rounded on Anushka.
However, things are not confirmed from the concerned parties, especially from Ayans side, as he is the person who is taking care of the casting .
