It has been five years since the release of his maiden flick 'Jaan-E-Mann' (Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Preity Zinta). Now for his second directorial outing, one can well expect Shirish Kunder to be nervous and quite conscious about shooting his ambitious film 'Joker' (Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha) since this is pretty much turning out to be his acid test.
"More than being nervous, I was pretty exhilarated actually. I was dying to go and shoot out there. Bas sets par pahauncha aur poori bhadaas nikaal di", he laughs, "It was all so pent up in there that I had to get it out. I was a lot hungry."
After completing the film's first schedule that lasted a little less than a month, Shirish is now back in town and already working on the post production before he starts shooting the rest of the film in April. Though one would have expected him to be exhausted since he is also under immense pressure to make 'Joker' as the biggest 3D film to have ever come out of Bollywood, Shirish is not complaining. He says, "I guess I am doing my best work with 'Joker' today. I have never felt happier."
Also starring Shreyas Talpade and Minissha Lamba, 'Joker' is aiming for a release before 2011 end. Once he wraps up 'Joker', Shirish would also be kick starting work on Salman Khan starrer 'Kick' later this year.
