After 'Band Baaja Baaraat' last year, if there is one mid-budget romcom which is carrying good vibes and seeing audience attention coming it's way, it is 'Tanu Weds Manu'. On it's launch as well as right through it's making, this Madhavan and Kangna starrer may not have aroused much curiosity. However over the last one month it has done well for itself to find itself in the wish list of movie lovers.

Right from the time it's first promo hit the screens to unleashing of chartbuster 'Saddi Galli' to it's talkie snippets, this Aanand L Rai directed film has seen it's graph seeing an upward movement. Resultantly, the film has found good visibility for itself, something which should work in it's favour. Of course this is not the kind of film which would take a monumental opening but anything in the region of 50% (something which is expected for 'Tanu Weds Manu' by the time evening shows set in on Friday) would be something that should have the makers pleased.

Of course there is the World Cup factor that would prove to be a hindrance but controlled budget for the film means that it can survive with divided audience attention. Having said that, it would be absolute necessary for this film to be backed by good reviews and word of mouth as it would have to rely upon a sustained run at the box office to see any gains for itself.

After last week's 'Kaccha Limboo', there is another kids' film which hits the screens - 'Satrangee Parachute'. However, the film has just not been promoted at all despite the presence of notable names like Jackie Shroff, Kay Kay Menon, Zakir Hussain, Rajpal Yadav and Sanjay Mishra. Zero visibility means that even if the film is decent enough, it doesn't stand a chance at the box office. Also, it would be a surprise if 'Satrangee Parachute' (which sounds pretty similar to Vishal Vhardwaj's 'The Blue Umbrella') even manages an all-India release for itself.
