The Perfectionist is happy and delighted that his ‘Peepli [Live]’ is going to the Oscars, but the director of the film is not quite happy. At the open forum at the ongoing MAMI Film Fest on PR and media, the director wasn’t happy by the way her debut film was promoted.

It’s not the first time that Aamir’s association in the filmmaking process has come under the scanner. Earlier, the scriptwriter and director of ‘Taare Zameen Par’ had issues with Aamir (producer of TZP). Aamir was not the producer of ‘3 Idiots’, but he slammed Chetan Bhagat’s demand for due credits to his novel ‘Five Point Someone’.

Anusha Rizvi has finally decided that she will not lobby for the film at the prestigious Oscars.

When enquired whether she will be promoting ‘Peepli [Live[’ at the Oscars, Anusha said, “I will not be going to promote ‘Peepli [Live[’ in USA. It’s just America’s national awards, right?”

“I would rather have 50 people watch ‘Peepli [Live]’ without all this promotion than 200 people watch it with the hype,” said Anusha.

Well Anusha point taken, but the content to be noted is, if Aamir would not have been the producer then ‘Peepli [Live]’ would have find it very difficult to even see the light.
