Last leading lady to deliver a blockbuster with her very first film was Amisha Patel. Paired opposite with Hrithik Roshan, she had a gala time with 'Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai'. Exactly ten years later, it is Sonakshi Sinha who has not just delivered a blockbuster but also the second highest grosser in the history of Indian cinema - 'Dabangg'. Does the young woman feel that it was a safe start after all to begin her career with an out and out masala fare?

"I don't think that there is anything like safe cinema", says Sonakshi who is picking and choosing her films with absolute care now, "Today, the face of cinema has changed so one can't actually pinpoint on what would work and what wouldn't."

Elaborating on her thought, she adds, "We have seen instances of art/offbeat films doing really well. On the other hand there have been some so-called commercial films that have bombed really bad this year. So it is futile to categorise. You have to trust your own judgement and figure out the combination of the right co-star, director, script and producer. Once all of this falls in place, it can be designed as a perfect outing. This is what happened in case of 'Dabangg'."
