B-town’s action king and the hot Khiladi Akshay Kumar celebrates his birthday today and it will be a day to relax and have simple, private fun with his family – the way the star enjoys the special occasion every year.

So to make it more special his ‘Action Replayy’ director Vipul Shah has planned to officially unveil the first look of this forthcoming Diwali release. Akki, as he is lovingly called, usually doesn’t work on his birthday. But Vipul being a khaas friend and that he loves the look of the film, the actor made an exception to attend the launch event.

Set in the sixties and seventies, ‘Action Replayy’ presents a very colourful feel where the lead pair – Akshay and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan – dons a very hippy, retro style. According to Akki the look of the film is like when Julie was released.

Giving an outline of the movie, Akshay said that the film starts in 2010, but goes back to then. “A young man leaps into his scientist uncle's time machine to discover the dating years of his parents. You see, they are constantly fighting now, and the son wants to find out what went wrong when they were young... why are things bad between them now, and see if he might rework their love story in 2010,” added Kumar, who turns 43 today.
