Looks like the recently happened IIFA Awards event has given way to new ideas to our filmmakers…

During his short stay at Sri Lanka for the event, it struck to director Anees Bazmee that he can actually film his forthcoming venture in this exotic-looking locale. Later putting his plan into action, Anees said to have changed the shooting location for his ‘Ready’ to Sri Lanka. Initially he had planned to shoot the film in Mauritius, sources revealed.

Now this Salman Khan and Asin starrer is expected to start its shooting schedule from June 20.

Salman said to have been impressed with the scenic location and Lankans’ hospitality and looking forward to start the shooting.

Hardly the hullabaloo has come down over the IIFA event and now looks like this step by the Anees Bazmee will add oil to more controversies. The event had spurred unrest among the Tamils, for choosing a location like Sri Lanka where civilian Tamils were alleged to be killed amidst the conflict between the Sri Lankan army and LTTE last year.
