‘All that glitters is not gold’. ‘Looks can be deceptive’. Wondering where’s this heading to? Well to put it straight, we are gonna share an interesting titbit about the beautiful Mexican actress of ‘Kites’.

One may have marvelled at Barbara Mori in the film’s promos. But our birdies say that there’s a ‘hairy’ tale behind her hot looks…

Birdies heard that when producer Rakesh Roshan and director Anurag Basu had first approached Barbara, she was sporting only an inch long hair! At that time the actress had just wrapped up the shooting of a Spanish film titled ‘Cosas Insignificantes’ (meaning ‘Insignificant Things’) and in this Barbara wears a bald look. In the film, her screen son who suffers from cancer looses hair and so in order to boost his spirit, Barabara shaves her head as well.

When Rakesh Roshan had initially met the actress to narrate the script in Los Angeles, he was very apprehensive whether she is the right choice. He was quite taken back and asked her how they would shoot with her six months down the line. But Barbara was confident and assured the producer that her hair would grow or else she would put hair extensions.

While director had plans to have Barabara with short hair in ‘Kites’. But since our industry actresses generally don’t have short hair, they went ahead with the hair extensions idea.
