The film had made waves with its entry in 2008 and recently it just smashed its way into the success lane by bagging a National Award as well.

Helmed by Abhishek Kapoor, the musical film ‘Rock On!!’ presented the story of four friends played by Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli and Luke Kenny.

Now after earning so much adulation, producer-actor Farhan and Arjun hit upon the idea to bring a sequel of the film. However, the director is not too keen about its second innings. Said Abhishek, “I didn’t want to rush into a sequel just because it was a commercially viable thing to do. The sequel had to stand on its own feet and not just be a carryover of the original.” But still, the director is said to be working on a couple of ideas for the sequel at present.

Well, one can understand the director’s hesitance, for he is said to be working on few scripts currently. Sources say that Abhishek will be adapting Chetan Bhagat’s latest novel, ‘The 3 Mistakes Of My Life’. He will be next bringing forth an English film ‘Sid’, the movie version of novelist Ashok Banker’s screenplay.
