The media meet of ‘3 Idiots’ that was held recently had everyone of the team present, but for one of its Idiots… Ahem, meant to say one of its 3 actors was absent. Ok jokes apart…

A special screening of Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘3 Idiots’ was organised to only a set of people who are close to the film. After that Aamir’s close buddy Sachin Tendulkar who was alos invited for the screening introduced the media to ‘Alternative Reality Game’ (ARG) – an initiative by the film’s team and Aamir Khan. This is something that one would have never heard before in Indian cinema. This is a hunting game where the actor will be on a journey to different parts of the country, in disguise and he will be regularly updating the clues as to where he is. Finally, the person who catches him will of course be the winner. No one from the film’s team is said to be even aware of the actor’s whereabouts.

A video clip by the actor announcing the game was showed at the meet. Going on with the act, producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra addressed, “My star has disappeared and I assure you I do not know where he is. In fact, Aamir convinced me that I was the last person he could trust with this blitz, so I am as taken aback with his ‘disappearing’ as the rest. But definitely, ARG, is a first of its kind of in Bollywood and I am sure no star has done this in Hollywood either.”

Sachin revealed the first clue from a letter left by Aamir. The note carried few verses that gave the hint of Aamir’s location. It is said to have went like this: “Kahaan jaaon, kaise jaaon, itne sawaal kaise suljahoon, kabhi to sochu main ud jaaon, kabhi sadak pe car bhagaoon, yaa cchuk chhuk gaadi ko aajmaoon, chaahe main jaise bhi jaoon, Maa ke aangan mein raat bitaon.”

Now going by the clue, Aamir seemed to be near his mother who is in fact lives in Pune.

‘3 Idiots’ which is being distributed by Big Pictures is said to be based on a budget of Rs. 45 crores and expected for a worldwide release on 25th Dec with 1400-1500 prints.
