The sequel is waiting to hit the shooting button. ‘Race’ garnered much acclaims with its racy thriller story which had audience clung on to their seats till the end.

Giving base to earlier speculations, Race 2 is gearing up to go on floors either in coming February or March. Like the original, the sequel will be produced by Ramesh Taurani and directed by Abbas-Mustan. It was rumoured that Abbas-Mustan won’t be directing the sequel, but reports have done away with those. “We will start RACE 2 once Saif is through with Agent Vinod,” revealed the producer.

The script is currently being finalised and once it is done the cast will be decided. However, Saif Ali Khan and Anil Kapoor have been confirmed for the lead. Ramesh Taurani didn’t divulge on the heroines’ details.

The producer assured that like Race, the sequel too will be an expensive thriller and would be shot on a lavish scale in foreign locations. The action too said to be many notches higher.
