Naxal mence is a big issue that is threatening the country. Suniel Shetty has gathered guts to do a movie around the issue and has titled it 'Red Alert'.
Good news for Suniel Shetty is that the movie has been selected for premiere at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa this month.
The movie is directed by Anant Mahadevan, who started his career in small screen with several soap shows. Interestingly, the film had won the Director's Vision Award at Stuttgart Film Festival in Germany and Shetty won the Best Actor Award at South Asia International Film Festival (SAIFF) in New York this year.
Suniel Shetty is all thrilled at the movie being selected at the premiere. After going places, 'Red Alert' is finally here in India. Hopefully it would create the same feel here too, he said.
Sameera Reddy, Naseeruddin Shah and Vinod Khanna besides 'Maine Pyar Kiya' actress Bhagyashree form part of the movie. It is based on a real-life incident. A farmer who turns naxal is the story, said Suniel.
