The 34th National Games for the year 2009 is said to be held between 21st November and 5th December, in Jharkhand. And these two actors have been invited to promote the event as ambassadors.

The President of Jharkhand Olympic Association R.K. Aanand stated that Akshay and Katrina will be present at the inaugural as well as closing ceremony of the National Games. It is also heard that the popular Punjabi singer Daler Mehdi will perform in the course of the period.
