After Kareena Kapoor’s nickname ‘bebo’ being used as a part of a song in her latest film, there’s another ‘bebo’ on the block. This time around it’s actress Lara Dutta in her brand new film ‘Do Knot Distrub’, where Riteish Deshmukh addresses Lara as ‘bebo’ in the song ‘what a bebo’.

But, wait a minute! There is a twist!! This song has no connection with Kareena Kapoor and her nickname. Director of the film David Dhawan says, “This song has no relevance to Kareena's name being bebo”

So why exactly did lyricist Sameer, music directors Nadeem- Shravan, director David Dhawan and actor Riteish Deshmukh come up with an idea of using the word ‘bebo’? Is ‘bebo’ the new favourite element for a hit song?

“Bebo is basically a Punjabi word which is often used in a romantic context to compliment a girl, especially on her looks, as is used in the song 'what a bebo' in ‘Do Knot Disturb’ where Riteish is complimenting Lara by addressing her as ‘bebo’”, explains David Dhawan.

At the recently concluded IIFA, Riteish Deshmukh and Govinda even performed to the song ‘what a bebo’. But in this case Govinda was surely not Riteish’s ‘bebo’.
