The box office result of the soon to be released ‘8 x 10 Tasveer’ is more critical for Akshay Kumar than all of his recently released movies.

It is for the first time that the actor has done a completely serious moody character in an action oriented thriller flick.

And, only if this film works out triumphantly, Akshay will get a good start to his decision to diversify from his usual roles laced with comedy.

In this film Akshay is playing the role of a forest officer having the ability to travel through time using photographs as a medium.

Just like the role, the time spent with the director Nagesh Kukunoor was also a novel experience for the lead man.

During the media meet of the film Akshay told “I got irritated for the first four days of our schedule but on the fifth day we understood each other and I decided to go by the director’s vision”.

Akshay has previously told that he is an actor who always tries to add a bit more to his performance than what is told by the directors.

That works out perfectly while doing extremely hilarious roles as the scenes can turn out to be funnier if executed with perfection.

But from what can be seen in the promotional videos of ‘8 x 10 Tasveer’, it seems that the acting style is very subdued.

So that is the precise reason why Akshay must have got aggravated.

He must have got the tendency to go overboard while performing and Nagesh with his style of film making would have never allowed that.

Akshay first registered his presence in B-Town as an action star, then proved his great skill in comedy and now is trying to get his skills right in performing intense roles as well.

We hope that this attempt of Akshay to change his tracks will be fruitful.
