The media attention given to the child star of ‘Slumdog Millionaire’- Azharuddin Ismail has turned out to be a curse for him.

The repeated media telecasts showing the hut where Azharuddin stays with his family and the surrounding place has made the municipal officers realise something.

The officers of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Council now knows that the kid’s home is illegal as it has been built in a plot which is actually meant to be a playground.

They have now decided to demolish the hut made of tarpaulin sheets where the child actor lives with his father who is suffering from Tuberculosis and his mother.

Two child actors of the movie were promised flats by the Maharashtra government.

Azhar’s father says “We cannot live like this under the threat of demolition. If my home is broken down by municipal officers again, we will have nowhere to go. We have been told that we may be getting a free flat sometime, but we need it now”.
