She may not stand in the same league as that of Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor or Deepika Padukone in Bollywood, but Celina Jaitley was the one selected to be the queen of the night at a spectacular new year celebration night at the City Pavilion in Romford, London.
It felt like a scene straight out of a James Bond flick when Celina came to the venue of the high profile black tie event having the theme of 007 in a dashing Ashton Martin dressed up in an elegant evening gown.
The guests at the event were eager to interact with the beauty. Celina after speaking with the Bollywood lovers took over the stage to welcome the brand new year.
The actress says "I felt like James Bond. I did the countdown to the accompaniment of Bond's signature tune with a gigantic confetti-filled crystal ball-as seen in his films being busted to the tunes of happy new year. At such events you realise the reach of Bollywood. It was great to interact with the Hindi movie buffs. The night and event was amazing and as always London and the people are so warm, loving and supportive".
She also added that all the good happenings of 2008 were overshadowed at the end of the year due to the terrorist attack on Mumbai.
The assortment of various musicians with varied styles provided great entertainment making the function a night to remember for the guests.
The renowned vocalist Javed Ali performed with his band. Rishi Rich, the famous artist from U.K. was the next one to rock the night.
Then DJ Krash, Mumsy, Veronica and Tasha Tah increased the excitement of the audience and at last H-Dhami made sure that everyone danced till they could dance no more in the main suite of City Pavillion.
The luxurious City Pavillion is set on three floors with several suites and state of the art lighting and sound, restaurants and bowling alleys.
M D of City Pavillion and Millennium Group Rishi Mashru was the organizer of the new year celebration for which the event and artist management was carried out by Carving Dreams Entertainment owned by Zaf Mughal.
