Amol Palekar, the talented actor turned director is excited about his forthcoming film ‘Quest’. Based on alternative sexuality and family relationships, ‘Quest’ is going to be released simultaneously in English and Marathi. Palekar has always treaded upon the untrodden path. His last film was the big budget ‘Paheli’ starring Shahrukh Khan, Rani Mukherjee and Amitabh Bachchan that also won a controversial nomination for the India’s entry to the Oscars.

Star of Middle-of-the-road cinema like ‘Golmaal’ and ‘Gharonda’, Palekar has directed some heart rending films like ‘Thoda Sa Roomani Ho Jayen’, ‘Anahat’, ‘Dayra’ etc and his simple yet unique story telling style has impressed one and all. It remains to be seen what he has to offer in ‘Quest’. I am sure it must be something different.
