Priyadarshan is one of the hottest film directors around. He may be the king of comedies, but he had shown his serious side in films like ‘Virasat’ and ‘Kaala Pani’ as well. Now, Priyan is treading into unfamiliar territory. While a few journos like K Abbas, Khalid Mohammad and Kunal Kohli took the journalism to films route, Priyan is taking things the other way around. He is all set to launch a newspaper in South that will cover entertainment based news from all over the country.

According to ‘Garam Masala’ and ‘Malamaal Weekly’ director, it was his father’s dream to start a newspaper. And now the son is finally able to fulfill his father’s wish. In a lighthearted vein, he promises to get back at all those critics who had panned his films. With his penchant for doing simple things differently, Priyan’s latest venture will be eagerly awaited.
