Milan Lutharia was the director who re-introduced the concept of "road" movies to Bollywood with 'Kachche Dhaage'. For the starters, a road movie is a genre in which a movie is shot primarily outdoors with the travel and the journey forming an integral part of thre storyline.

His 'Kachche Dhaage' starring Ajay Devgan and Saif Ali Khan had the two step-brothers shown to be on run from the police. In the meantime Milan made a romantic 'Chori Chori' and an actioner 'Deewar' but now he is back to his old love - a road movie.

His upcoming 'Taxi No. 9 2 11' belongs to the same genre in which the two characters Nana Patekar and John Abraham meet where else, but on a road where John boards Nana's cab for a special reason. The journey which the two take and the discoveries they make forms the crux of the story.
