OK, so this one comes quite late in the day but nevertheless this is a tale that needs to be told.

We all loved the spirited rendition of 'Nimbooda' by Kavita Krishnamoorthy in 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam'. The song was credited to Ismali Darbar and he won immense appreciation for his musical score.

But guess what, the song is extremely similar to a number belonging to Rajasthani folk music both in terms of style of composition to even lyrics!

This was recently uncovered through the music album of 'Devaki' that has a namesake song 'Nimbooda'.

The movie is set in rural India and has a bunch of male folk singers rendering this track. 'Devaki' is an award winning internationally acclaimed film that is soon to be released in India. It stars Suman Rangnathan and Perizaad Zorabian.
