One wonders what is happening to the publicity of some of the biggies these days? On one side you have movies like 'Dus' and 'Sarkar' that go all out in their attempt to reach out to a person in every nook and corner of the country.

Whereas there are movies like 'Mangal Pandey' that go full throttle only towards the last leg [read a couple of weeks before the release date] to pick up momentum and make people look forward to the screening.

Now add 'Barsaat' to the list. This romantic musical has everything in its favor to make it a potential blockbuster.

Excellent music and lyrics by Nadeem Shravan and Sameer, mushy look and feel by producer-director Suneel Darshan and above all the presence of current favorite Priyanka Chopra, stunning Bipasha Basu and of course Bobby Deol who is appearing in a full fledged lover boy after ages.

With number of factors going in its favor, one would have expected the movie to pick up heat with every passing day.

But unfortunately after a first couple of weeks of the song'n'dance publicity, there has been no additional buzz about the movie.

Neither is the storyline/characterization being revealed nor is there any other conscious attempt to make the audience 'long' for the movie.

With the release date fixed for 19th August [exactly a week after Mangal Pandey], one would expect the momentum to pick up sooner than later so that the movie gets its well deserved initial!
