John Abraham the birthday boy who turns 42 today has applauded the Prime Minister Narendra Modi`s clarion call asking the youth of the nation to shun drugs in his radio address 'Mann Ki Baat'.
Speaking his heart out John Abraham said that though he is not interested in politics but he is happy with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he is taking measures for economic development. "I've met the Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally on a number of occasions. He wants economic progress in the country and that's all I am concerned about," he quipped.
JohnAbraham is known for his concern for the youth of the nation. Praising PM Modi for taking up the important issue of drug menace among the youth, John Abraham said, "When the Prime Minister of the country ask the youth not to have drugs, it creates a huge impact and there will be no better example to persuade youth to quit drugs."
JohnAbraham is health conscious and follows strict discipline in his daily life. He says, "I sleep by 9.30 -10 pm and wake up by 4.30 a.m. because morning is the best time to time of our muscles."
He says, "Youth are the back bone of the nation and as a film celebrity it is my duty to set right standards. That`s the reason I try to do movies that send good messages to the youth like FORCE, where I played a narcotics bureau officer and NO SMOKING, where I play a self-obsessed, narcissist chain smoker who agrees to kick his habit to save his marriage and visits a rehabilitation centre."
He adds, "Likewise as a producer I concentrate on topics that reach the youth like VICKY DONOR, a film with a subject as strong as sperm donation. My next film as a producer, is 1911, a film on football when Mohun Bagan was initiated. The story is about their match against an English team."
"In my capacity as a producer I would like to do films that involve and encourage the youth, be it the story of a sperm donor, be it sports," he concludes.
