Deepika Padukone has completed her commitments just to make sure she can go back home to celebrate Diwali with her family this year. We were told that the tall beauty, whose family lives in Bangalore, has not been able to celebrate Diwali with her family at home since a few years now. But this time around, the actress made sure she could go home and spend two days with her family.

Diwali has always been one of Deepika`s favourite festivals and it is also a special one for the entire family. The young actress has Happy New Year` at the brink of release and she was actively involved in the promotions of it. However she has planned her visit much prior and ensured all her work commitments are tied up. Hence Deepika is very glad that she will be able to celebrate her Diwali in Bangalore. When contacted Deepika, she shared, "I spend Diwali with my family every year and this year again we'll all be together. Its a festival I really look forward to."

Incidentally, it`s interesting to note that her family names have a connotation of light - Deepika, Prakash, Anisha and Ujjala.
