SNAFU pumps up its action sequence from a chase into hard core fight with the celebrated Vijan Master coming on board. Vijan Master had is known for his larger than life action sequences in Dabangg, Wanted, most of Salman Khan`s blockbusters. Abhay Deol is known for thinking cinema goes the whole nine yards with action for the first time in SNAFU under Vijan Master` tutelage. Vijan master has designed the action in keeping with the realistic soul of the film. Most of the action sequences are shot in real locations- supermarkets, highways and by lanes of Pune.
Talking of the sequence Vijan Master said, "The film is very real, with true to life characters. I wanted the action sequence to look very realistic. There is no space for exaggeration in this film. The action in this film is extended emotion. We put in a lot of hard work to make the sequence look gritty and realistic. Abhay has emoted to perfection, I could not ask for more from him".
SNAFU is directed by cinematographer turned director, Sethu Sriram. Sriram has helmed the camera for films like OMG, Dusshera, Tere Naam and Wanted in the past.
Abhay Deol added, "I have done a little bit of cable work in the past for Honeymoon travels pvt. Ltd. where I had a flying sequence and then for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. But yes, I have not done such intense action where I was working continuously on it for seven days. It is hard work, but I like doing it and I`m enjoying it. And then I`m working with Vijan Master, one of the best".
The action sequence was shot not just through seven days but through night shifts also. A chunk part of it was shot in a super market, being a real location it would only be available to the team at night. "This was the most hectic part of the schedule. We are all exhausted but every bit of it was worth the effort. I give full credit to my action director, Vijan Master and Abhay who has brought bit of emotion alive. We are all sleep deprived, but we have a packed schedule ahead in Mumbai. Power to my cast and crew", signed off Sriram, director, SNAFU.
