TV serial director Sanjay Uphadhyay had apparently conceived a hard hitting subject with Abhishek Bachchan in mind much before the actor was launched in "Refugee". But that didn't happen.

Now the story is making its way to the screen as "Satya Bol", with newcomer Manish Singh portraying the character of an upright cop.

Trade people who have seen the film say it is the best cop movie made in recent times. The hero is shown as being sensitive to his surroundings yet succumbing to pressure as an encounter specialist.

The film also features Sayaji Shinde, Rajendra Gupta and Sachin Khedekar. TV actress Tina Parakh stars opposite Manish Singh. Javed Akhtar has penned the lyrics and the music is by Aadesh Srivastava. "Satya Bol" is releasing Sep 24.
