After a weekend that saw good growth at the box office, hence entering a safety zone, 'Shaadi Ke Side Effects' hung on well for the rest of the week to register stable collections. Yes, on Monday there was a dip in collections but thankfully the graph was consistent from Tuesday till Thursday, as a result of which Balaji and PNC could afford to smile with good moolah coming in. With 31 crore coming in the first week, Farhan Akhtar and Vidya balan now have a successful film to their name.
There are three new releases this week, 'Gulaab Gang', 'Queen' and 'Total Siyapaa', which means there would be a loss of screens for 'Shaadi Ke Side Effects'. If not for that, the film could have enjoyed a decent second weekend too. However, for now this Saket Chowdhary film would have to be content with its first week collections and whatever additional comes in now is an added bonus for sure.
As things stand today, the film should eventually stretch to touch the 40 crore mark which is a fine result for an outing which had crowds in up-market multiplexes as its target audience.
