In a marathon of three back-to-back sessions at the Lit Fest ace lyricist Prasoon Joshi, captivated the audience with his thoughts and Poetry.

In packed and overflowing sessions titled Sunshine lanes - a poetic journey which had the brilliant wordsmith reading poems and anecdotes from his collection of poems and songs, to Raag Pahadi that had him sensitively and thoughtfully touch upon the nuances of the Himalayan languages being lost, to the session on Urdu in Hindustan, Joshi had the audience hanging on to each word.

His evocative poems on the complex bond between father and son and relationship with sisters moved the young and old in the audience to tears. There was a massive rush to the venue of his sessions, making the host Namita Gokhale remark that forget standing room, people found it difficult to find space to clap as Prasoon’s session became so jam-packed.

Writer Poet and Speaker extraordinaire, Prasoon Joshi, who is deservedly being feted for his Script and Screenplay writing of ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, not only excels in his multi layered crafts but seems adept at the art of winning live audiences over. More power to his pen.
