Makers of Finding Fanny are in mood for celebrations. Despite its many constraints around dates, locations and other logistical hassles, the film has managed to wrap up 3 days in advance. While very recently director Homi Adajania wrote a quirky letter to his cast and crew and thanked them for going all out to make the film happen, producer Dinesh Vijan is taking them all out for a wrap up bash tonight (Wednesday).
"It is a private get together with principle cast and crew," informs a source, "Dinesh is very emotionally attached to the film since Homi wanted to make it for a very long time. They went on to make Cocktail but Finding Fanny was always on their mind. It is their goodwill will actors like Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapoor and Ranveer Singh (in a guest appearance) that they came together in a single shooting schedule of 50 days and finished 3 days in advance."
Considering the fact that Deepika was neck deep down with Ram Leela, Arjun and Ranveer were shooting for Gunday, Dimple was caught up with the daughter Rinke's delivery and Naseer & Pankaj had their own schedules to match, it was a huge sigh of relief for Homi and Dinesh to ensure a wrap.
"All of that can happen only if your film is all heart. Otherwise you can't expect a busy bunch of actors like these to have done so much to make this film possible," says Dinesh in a fond tone, "We all felt that those associated with the film deserved a final get together on this wrap before we reunite for the film's promotion."
That is still some time away though since Finding Fanny, a bilingual, would be arriving only in Summer 2014. However before that, the happening spot would be Olive, a popular lounge in Bandra, where all the action would unfold tonight.
