Powerhouse actress Vidya Balan was in for a huge surprise when her upcoming film ‘Shaadi Ke Side Effects’ went on floors. For once she started shooting for the project, the actress realised the number of coincidences her reel life character in the romantic-comedy had to her real life. It happened so that Farhan Akhtar who plays Vidya's husband in the film is named Sid Roy much to her amusement given that she is married to Siddharth Roy Kapur .What's more is that the name of the character cast opposite Vidya was decided over 5 years ago.

If that wasn't all; the first scene of the film was shot at the Green Gift, the very same bungalow Vidya was married at as well as shot several of her best commercials. This ironically was also the first scene she did after her marriage.

Coming to the story of the film - the iconic characters, Sid and Trisha, has come to life in the sequel, now as husband and wife essayed by Farhan Akhtar and Vidya Balan. Sid having beaten his fear of marriage and Trisha having finally gotten around to saying her vows the third time round. Now they must address themselves to the impossible task of coping with each other’s fantasies and realities. Will they succeed? Only Shaadi Ke Side Effects will tell.
