Audio trade expects Harris Jayaraj’s `Chellame’ audiocassettes to be sold like hot cakes. Reports say that director A R Kanthikrishna (associate of Shankar) in combo with Harris has given very good songs which is said to be offbeat and classy. The film is about three people and their relationships. Newly married couple shift to a new apartment. To subsidize their income they accept another unmarried youngster as a PG. This young man starts falling in the love with the married woman. He fantasizes about her and his love to her forms the subject of `Chelame’.

Kanti Krishna who worked with Shankar till `Indian’ was director of `Engineer’ starring Aravind swamy and Madhuri Dixit (her first film in Tamil). It has music by A R Rahman. The film after a brief stint was stalled. Six years later he comes back as director. Reema Sen plays the young married woman and Vishal is the lover boy. The film has very hot sizzling scenes. Cinematography is by celebrated national award winning cinematographer K V Anand. Vairamuthu has written the lyrics. Editing by V T Vijayan, dialogues by Sujatha, choreography by Thara, Kala, Raju Sundaram and Dinesh, stunts by Vikram dharma the film is produced by GJ combines.
